2015 UA International Apprentice Contest: Day 5, And the Winners Are…

… outstanding examples of the craftsmen of the future. But that’s not what you want to know. You want to know who they are. So I have a great picture of them with their copper trophies, and they don’t look too worse for the wear. It’s really nice to see that the five winners represent five different areas of the U.S.: Florida, New York, Washington, Ohio and Wisconsin, a good indication that the U.S. construction sector is in good hands in the future. It’s too bad that we didn’t have any international winners this year, but I can tell you that the Canadian and Australian contestants performed well and I expect to see them featured in a picture just like this in the years to come.
Congratulations gentlemen! It was a pleasure watching you exhibit your skills under pressure.
Oh, and by the way, the plumbers walked away with the bragging rights this year, with an average score narrowly edging out the mechanical service technicians and sprinkler fitters. But second and third place doesn’t get bragging rights. So, until next year the plumbing apprentices are copper kings.
Now get back to work and make those around you better.
