Copper CEOs Share Views on Sustainability

Europe has a small, but efficient, copper mining industry, plus a world-class smelting and refining (copper producing) sector.
In total, the European copper industry employs some 50,000 people directly and sustains the jobs of millions of others by delivering key products into a vast range of business and service activities.
As with most European industry sectors, EU regulations affect the copper industry’s licence to operate and its ability to secure fair market access for its products. Right now, one of its most important needs is for transparent, long-term energy and climate change policies that will deliver competitively priced energy.
This new series of short “CEO View” videos is designed to facilitate understanding of the European copper industry’s views and to demonstrate their commitment to positive engagement in the EU’s regulatory processes. Learn more at copperalliance.eu
